| Burbank, CA, April 15, 2003 TVN Entertainment Corporation, the leading provider of on-demand content, management and delivery services, announced today that it has reached an agreement with Discovery Communications, Inc. Under the agreement TVN will distribute, encode and provide asset management of approximately 30 hours of VOD (video on demand) programming per month.
Programming from all Discoverys U.S. Networks is covered under the agreement, including the Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, the Travel Channel, Discovery Health Channel, Discovery Kids Channel, Discovery Times Channel, The Science Channel, Discovery Wings Channel, Discovery Home & Leisure Channel, The Health Network and Discovery en Español.
Insight Communications will be the first to launch the Discovery Kids programming as part of its Kids Unlimited package. The package retails for $9.95 and features quality kids fare updated with fresh content monthly. Discoverys VOD content is also available to TVNs VOD affiliates, including Comcast, Charter, Adelphia, Cablevision and Mediacom, as well as several other US and Canadian MSOs.
The addition of Discovery Networks to our list of over 40 networks highlights TVNs commitment to incorporating high quality content into the VOD universe and to expanding usage of the VOD category overall, said Jim Riley, TVNs Senior Vice President of Business Development. With the addition of Discovery, our MSO partners now receive the most valuable and comprehensive VOD content offering available including major motion pictures, all premium networks, basic networks, adult, advertising and VOD exclusive product.

TVN will make all of the content available via a single satellite transponder and delivered to a single TVN docking station located at the cable headend, making it the most efficient VOD content solution available in the industry. Utilizing TVNs asset management system, ADONISS, Discovery can remotely track its on-demand assets--from encoding to upload on their affiliates VOD servers, as well as metadata management, reporting, and deletion verification.
